Sihawks WR DK Metcalfe shows clear message from NFL for drug test
After DK Metcalf turned heads with an impressive performance during Friday's NBA celebrity All-Star game, the Seattle Seahawks receiver posted on social media Sunday about an upcoming NFL drug test.
Metcalf posted a screenshot to his Instagram story that appeared to show a text conversation with a representative on behalf of the NFL asking to set up a time Monday for Metcalf to be drug tested for performance-enhancing substances.
The 25-year-old Metcalf turned in a double-double performance and won MVP for Dwyane Wade's squad He scored 20 points and notched 10 rebounds to go along with four blocks.
According to the drug-testing policies collectively bargained by the NFL and the NFL Players Association, testing is random and is done independently by a computer program overseen by an independent administrator.

An NFL spokesperson said in an email to USA TODAY Sports on Monday that neither the league nor the union is aware of who is being tested and when.
Metcalf signed a three-year, $72 million extension with $58.2 million guaranteed and a $30 million signing bonus in July. The receiver has posted at least 900 receiving yards in each of his four NFL seasons, with Metcalf eclipsing 1,000 yards in two of them.
In addition to football, Metcalf also competed at the USATF Golden Games as a sprinter and had previously considered training for the Olympics. He can also play basketball, evidently.
